This interesting image is part of a collage of the Lowry Hill neighborhood in Minneapolis. I mounted the image onto a wood panel, gave it my blend of acrylic and vanish, then rephotographed parts of the panel on a black table. This image was reworked in CS6.
About Susan Stone
When I started my photography career, I knew I wanted to take my images further than the click of a shutter, so I built a darkroom in my home and explored my creativity under a red light. When digital photography arrived on the scene, I came out of the dark, into the world of pixels and possibilities. Today, I take my images even further with paint and mixed media. I use layers, texture, and contrast to create complex images of everyday things, places, and people. Hints of the past and the present play together to tell my visional stories.
